The glass can replace a visual screen, but not every blind function. The frosted state provides privacy and diffused light, not full blackout or automatic solar protection. Those needs are solved separately.

Classic keeps operation simple; Segment screens a lower window area or selected height without losing the whole view.
New or existing window?
Retrofit requires assessment of the profile, glazing thickness, weight and a safe cable route.
How should it work every day?
A switch remains primary. SUPLA adds value with multiple panes, scenes or remote control.

FAQ
Questions that arise before design.
Can smart glass replace blinds?
It can replace a visual privacy screen, but not full blackout or every solar-shading function. Those requirements must be defined separately.
Can it be installed in an existing window?
Sometimes. We assess the profile, permitted glazing thickness and weight, support and a cable route that does not conflict with the sash.
What happens after a power cut?
The PDLC layer returns to its frosted state. This default should be considered in the room function and any backup-power design.
Does the glass work without a phone?
Yes, when a switch or remote is included. The app extends control rather than being required for daily operation.
