An active partition combines shared light with temporary screening. It is designed around the appointment flow, sightlines and staff workflow.

Application context
Patient privacy must follow the actual appointment flow.
A clear wall can share light, improve orientation and help staff see room availability. Before a consultation or examination, an authorised person switches it to frosted, restricting external views without curtains, blinds or slats.
The frosted state is not automatically acoustic insulation or a guarantee that no shadows appear under strong backlighting. Conversation privacy, procedures, safety glazing, hygiene and fire requirements are confirmed by the designer for the complete partition. DGF integrates the active pane and controls.

These decisions cannot safely wait until installation. Each affects manufacture and use.
Lighting
The frosted state transmits diffused light. Strong lighting behind a patient may reveal a shadow, so privacy is also assessed for evening conditions.
Maintenance
Glass type, edge protection and adjacent materials follow the approved cleaning method. We do not claim resistance to every chemical without verification.
Permissions
The switch is placed on the staff side and clearly labelled. An app may manage several rooms while local operation stays immediate.

Does glass ensure conversation confidentiality?
The frosted state limits views, while acoustics depend on the complete partition, doors, profiles and junctions. Sound requirements are designed separately.
Can staff retain an observation band?
DGF Segment can be considered when the observation line and zoning are defined before manufacture and approved by the project team.
How does glass behave without power?
It returns to the frosted state. The facility team should account for that in the room scenario.
When should the solution be consulted?
Before ordering partitions and closing services, so glass, profiles, wiring, power supplies and service access can be coordinated.
