In spaces used by many people, clarity matters. Users should immediately understand whether a zone is open, private or unavailable. Switching glass can reinforce that message, but it does not replace required signage or safety measures.
Structure, resistance, fixing and requirements for barriers or screens come from the building design. The active function is an additional layer coordinated with those requirements, lighting, circulation and service.

FAQ
Questions that arise before design.
Can smart glass form a barrier?
It can form part of a solution when the complete glazing, fixing and protection meet the project requirements for the specific barrier. PDLC itself does not confirm structural safety.
Is the glass suitable for a heavily used venue?
Yes, when the construction, edge protection, cleaning method and service access are selected for the actual conditions.
Who should control the glass?
Usually authorised staff. Core scenes and switches are labelled by zone function, with app access handed to a responsible person.
Can the frosted state be used as a screen?
It can form a surface for certain projection uses, but results depend on the projector, light, projection direction and viewing conditions. Separate testing and selection are required.
