Italian Full pane or zones?
DGF Classic switches the complete pane and suits a simple open–private scenario. DGF Segment can screen only eye level or create several scenes, but zoning must be defined before production.

Application context
Good privacy starts with the meeting scenario.
In a typical meeting room glazing is valuable for most of the day: it shares light, opens the corridor and shows whether the room is available. A client conversation, interview or confidential work creates the need to screen the view. Smart glass supports both situations without blinds or moving slats.
The frosted state obscures recognisable images, but it does not soundproof a conversation or create blackout. If the project requires acoustic privacy or screen-light control, those conditions are solved separately through the complete partition, seals, lighting and display position.
From function to detail
Four decisions before the pane is ordered.
These decisions cannot safely wait until installation. Each affects manufacture and use.
Where should the switch be?
Ideally by the entrance or presenter position, where a meeting naturally starts. An app can extend control but should not be the only method of everyday operation.
What can the corridor see?
We assess sightlines, seated eye level, doors and adjacent workstations. The active area then answers a real need rather than an arbitrary composition.
Where is the installation concealed?
The cable exits at the agreed edge, the power supply remains serviceable and the route does not conflict with doors, profiles or ceiling finishes.

What should not be left until the end?
An active pane looks simple but requires early coordination between glazing, electrical work and the partition system.
- Do not close the ceiling before the power-supply location and cable route are known.
- Do not treat the frosted state as a substitute for acoustic design or blackout.
- Do not order a pane without final dimensions, cable direction and confirmed framing.

Common questions about this application.
Does smart glass soundproof the room?
Not through switching itself. Acoustic performance depends on the complete glazing build-up, profiles, doors, seals and building interfaces.
Can several rooms be controlled?
Yes. Each room can have a local switch, while agreed automation or SUPLA can group devices and scenes.
What happens without power?
The PDLC layer returns to the frosted state. This default is considered in the room function and any backup-power design.
Can glass be added to a finished office?
Sometimes, after checking the construction, dimensions, pane replacement and a safe power route. Retrofit feasibility is assessed from documentation or a site visit.
